Freemans Bay School were outfitting a new year 3 and 4 classroom ready for the start of 2009.

This presented a perfect opportunity to test Bodyfurn along with the new Alpha desk with side storage. Furnware provided an ergonomics education session  to the entire staff,  and when the furniture arrived, to the students as well.

The positive impact of the change was noticed immediately. Having students seated at correct heights with desk space large enough for all materials, was just one benefit. The drop in noise level, the ease of use of the side storage units and the minimising of clutter, the flexibility of being able to click out the  side unit and move to a new  desk, all led to  a desire to continue Bodyfurn in future classrooms.

"I like how straight forward the measuring system is. The student is given a colour based on their height and then it's just a case of giving them a desk and chair which has that coloured dot on it. It takes no time at all."

"The tray is a nice change from the old style desks, it only allows room for the essentials and the students can access it easily".
